KIAC Men's Basketball Polls Released
After winning the KIAC basketball titles in 2005, Indiana-Southeast and Bethel College (Tenn.) are picked to repeat as conference champs in 2006, according to polls released by the conference coaches.
Indiana-Southeast was selected as the conference's top men's basketball team, and received six first place votes. Asbury College (Ky.) was ranked second, and Berea College (Ky.) was ranked third.
Indiana-Southeast finished the 2004-2005 men's basketball season on top of the KIAC with an 8-1 regular season conference record and the KIAC tournament crown. The return of top players Ty Crone and Robert Daniels will likely help the Grenadiers maintain their top position. Other returning all-conference players include Melvin Brown of Berea College (Ky.), Daniel Viemann of Spalding University (Ky.), Matt Buschjost of St. Louis College of Pharmacy (Mo.), Travis Spann and Johnny Leep of Asbury College (Ky.) and Brandon Self of Bethel College (Tenn.).
