Mid-Continent Wins Men's Soccer Title
After dominating Asbury College en route to a 8-1 win in the KIAC tournament semi-finals, Mid-Continent defeated Bethel College (Tenn.) 2-0 in the conference's championship match.
Mid-Continent's Guillermo Ferrando and Gary Duran scored the Cougars' goals. The Cougars forced the Wildcats to play a defensive match, outshooting the Wildcats of Bethel 17-5. Bethel's keeper, Andrew Pennycook, recorded four saves.
Mid-Continent advances to the NAIA Region XII tournament, and as the #1 seed, has earned to right to play on their home field in Mayfield. Bethel College (Tenn.) and Brescia University will also represent the KIAC in the regional tournament.
