IUS' DeMaio earns KIAC women's basketball player of the week honors
Christina DeMaio of Indiana-Southeast was named the KIAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week for the week of Nov. 28-Dec. 4.
DeMaio, 5-10 senior forward from Louisville, Ky., helped the Lady Grenadiers to a 3-0 week, Her averages in those three games were: 19.3 points, 7.7 rebounds, four assists, four blocks, and 1.3 steals. She hit 82 percent of her free throws, and 54 percent of her field goals. DeMaio had a week-high of 20 points, nine rebounds and seven blocked shots in IUS' win over McKendree College.
Dani Howard (Bethel College) and Natalie Dial (Midway College) were also nominated for this week's award.
