Asbury, Berea win in semis at the KIAC Women's Soccer Championship
Finals set for Monday.
Asbury won the opening semifinal 4-2 over Brescia. Miranda Wiley scored two of the goals for Asbury, while Andrea Howell and Carol Fogler added one goal a piece. Brescia's goals came from Lauren Taylor and Valerie Kamuf.
In the nightcap, Berea won over Spalding 5-1. Berea was lead from Jessica Proffitt's hat trick. Laci Boswick and Haleigh McGraw also scored in the game for the Mountaineers. Spalding's goal was put home by Lesley Bormann.
Asbury and Berea both advance to Monday's Championship game on Monday night at 6:30 pm at Berea. Asbury will be the home team due to their top seeding in the tournament. The winner clinches an automatic bid to the Region XII tournament.
