Offensive Player of the Week: Andrew Varns, Brescia University
Eight goals on week include KIAC Regular season clincher
Andrew Varns was named Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week for October 8th-October 14th. Varns is a 6-1 Senior Forward from Sheffield, England. Varns scored game clinching goals against Georgetown College and Mountain State University. Varns also scored three and assisted in the narrow 5-4 loss to NCAA Division II Kentucky Wesleyan.
Defensive Player of the Week: Mindes Dorlean, Brescia University
Dorlean considered key in wins.
Mindes Dorlean was named Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week for October 8th-October 14th. Dorlean is a 5-11 Senior Midfielder from Newark, New Jersey. Coach Brad Smith described his efforts as dominating in the two wins on the week. Brescia beat in state NAIA opponent Georgetown College and KIAC foe Mountain State.
