Volleyball Players of the Week November 12th
Final Players of the Week for the 2007 Season
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (November 12th, 2007) The Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference is proud to announce Player of the Week honors for November 5th- November 11th in Volleyball.
Player of the Week: Jennifer Basher, Mountain State University
Jennifer Basher was named Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Volleyball Player of the Week for November 5th- November 11th. Basher is a 5-11 Junior Middle Hitter from Orlando, Florida. Basher had 13 kills in the KIAC Championship match against Asbury College. She also had three aces on the week, with one in each of the KIAC Tournament matches.
Setter of the Week: Stacey Flatt, Indiana University Southeast
Stacey Flatt was named Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Volleyball Setter of the Week for November 5th-November 11th. Flatt is a 5-5 Sophomore Setter from Louisville, Kentucky (Pleasure Ridge Park H.S.). Flatt had 50 assists and 24 digs in the narrow five game match against Asbury in the KIAC Tournament, where she was named to the KIAC All Conference First Team. She also had 42 assists in the regular season match against Midway College.
Libero of the Week: Jennifer Sloan, Mountain State University
Jennifer Sloan was named Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Volleyball Libero of the Week for November 5th-November 11th. Sloan is a 5-5 Senior Libero from Beckley, West Virginia. The 2007 KIAC Volleyball Player of the year capped off her top total in digs with 11.6 on this week for a season average of 9.51 per game. Her top effort on the week was the title match of the KIAC tournament with 50 digs against Asbury College.
