2007 KIAC Women's Tournament Day 2 Recaps
Recaps from Semifinal Play at HOOPS in Jeffersontown, Ky.LOUISVILLE, Ky. (February 22, 2006) The 2006-07 Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (KIAC) women's basketball tournament continued on Friday at HOOPS in Jeffersontown, Ky. The second day of action featured two women's basketball semifinals. Berea College and Alice Lloyd College won on Friday advancing to Saturday's final while Indiana University Southeast and Asbury College were eliminated from the 2005-06 championship.
Game #4 (6:00 p.m.) No. 2 Indiana University Southeast vs. No. 3 Berea College
No. 3 Berea College upset No. 2 Indiana University Southeast 80-77 on Friday. A long pass by Berea was tipped by them out of bounds with less than a second left. Indiana University Southeast heaved a long pass that was intercepted to end the game.
Berea's (21-7) Rebecca May 29 points dominated the scoring for the Mountaineers. Sarah Hughes added 14 points and eight boards. On the passing front, De-An Watkins lead the team with eight assists.
For Indiana University Southeast (21-8), Kayla Rieckers 17 points and 10 boards helped the Grenadiers stay close. Andrea Chambers also added 14 points and nine rebounds. Also in the mix, Brittany Caple scored 16 points.

Game #5 (8:00 p.m.) No. 1 Alice Lloyd vs. No. 5 Asbury
No. 1 Alice Lloyd College won the late semifinal over No. 5 Asbury College 76-59 on Friday. Alice Lloyd's defense proved tough with 15 steals compared to five for Asbury. Asbury did slightly outrebound Alice Lloyd 42-39.
Alice Lloyd's (16-11) night was led by Whitney Lykens who scored 22 points on top of five rebounds. Chasity Fox was also among leading scorers with 19. Becky Thomas pulled down nine rebounds along with her 14 points.
For Asbury (13-14), Lindsey Wood compiled a double double with 15 points and 11 rebounds. Sarah Yates had 11 with her eight rebounds. Anna Stephenson also had 11 points.
