Referee Gary Durbin selected to work National Tournaments
Gary Durbin will join two other KIAC officials at National Tournaments.
Gary Durbin was selected to referee at the Men's Division II National Tournament this March. Durbin will work the next four Men's Basketball Division II National Tournaments. The tournament this year is held in Point Lookout, Missouri from March 7th-13th.
Durbin will join Kevin Clary and Linda Strong as KIAC referees representing at National Tournaments. Clary is on the second year of a four year contract with the NAIA Division I tournament. Linda Strong was named last week to the Women's Division II National Tournament in Sioux City, Iowa. She also receives a contract to work the tournament for four years.
The conference is proud for all three referees and level of professionalism shown. "It speaks well for this conference, and the men and women who officiate in it." said Ron Dixon, assigner for KIAC Basketball Officials.
