Cross Country Preseason Polls Released
Asbury Women and Berea Men Selected as Favorites for 2007 Meet
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (August 22, 2007) The Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference is proud to announce the coaches preseason poll results for the 2007 Fall Season. The preseason picks to win the conference in cross country are Asbury College's Women and Berea College's men. The picks are based on order of finish amongst KIAC Schools at Region XII meet in November.
WOMEN- Asbury's Women were the highest overall finishers at the 2006 Region XII meet. St. Louis College of Pharmacy will return Amy Hall, who was the lone runner at Nationals from the KIAC. Midway, Berea, Brescia and Alice Lloyd rounded out the picks in order.
MEN- Berea's Men are picked to repeat. Many of the runners from their All Conference selections are set to return. Asbury and St. Louis College of Pharmacy are predicted to finish in the order they did last year. Newcomers Brescia and Alice Lloyd fall to the bottom of the list in their inaugural season.
