LOUISVILLE, Ky. (September 23rd, 2007) The Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference is proud to announce Player of the Week honors for September 17th- September 23rd in Volleyball.
Player of the Week: Jessica Green, Mountain State University
Season high 16 kills in the Sweet Briar College match
Jessica Green was named Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Volleyball Player of the Week for September 17th- September 23rd. Green is a 5-10 Junior Middle Hitter from DuQuoin, Illinois. Green had 10 plus assists in three of the four matches on the week. She leads Mountain State in assists with 5.3 a game.
Setter of the Week: Stacey Flatt, Indiana University Southeast
52 assists in win over Brescia
Stacey Flatt was named Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Volleyball Setter of the Week for September 17th- September 23rd. Flatt is a 5-5 Sophomore Setter from Louisville, Kentucky. Flatt had 17 digs and 16 assists in the McKendree University match. She leads the Grenadiers in assists with 5.3 a game.
Libero of the Week: Jennifer Sloan, Mountain State University
Sloan continues on amazing pace with digs
Jennifer Sloan was named Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Volleyball Libero of the Week for September 17th- September 23rd. Sloan is a 5-5 Senior Libero from Beckley, West Virginia. Sloan also served an ace in the Virginia-Wise match. She averaged 10 digs a game on the week, keeping her in second in the NAIA digs per game in the nation.
