IU Southeast Men's Basketball Predicted to Repeat
IU Southeast secures all first place votes.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (October 28th, 2008) - The 2008-09 Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Preseason Basketball Polls were released Tuesday. The seven men's coaches submitted their votes for the regular season finish of the teams.
Indiana University Southeast's men are a unanimous pick to repeat their first place finish from 2007-08. Their partner in the 2008 KIAC Basketball Tournament Final Berea College is picked to finish second again. Alice Lloyd College and Asbury College both have new coaches at the helm (JR Hammond and Will Shouse respectively) and are predicted third and fourth in that order. Indiana University East is predicted to finish fifth and will be eligible for this year's KIAC Men's and Women's Basketball Tournament at Alice Lloyd in February. Newcomer Cincinnati Christian University, coached by Mark Harden is predicted to be sixth while St. Louis College of Pharmacy rounds out the poll.
