IU Southeast wins Women's Tennis Championship IU Southeast wins 11th Women's Tennis Title in row
IU Southeast defeated Midway for the first title of the 2008-09 season in the KIAC 8-1. IU Southeast won all three doubles matches. In the singles, Ashley Melchiorre of Midway won the team's lone point with a 2-6, 6-1, 6-2 over IU Southeast's Tabitha Collins. For IU Southeast, Britta Oliver, Brooklyn Becher, Lauren Becher, Kelsey Wisman, and Abby Enteman.
In doubles, Midway's Jessica Kutch and Ashley Harmon's #2 doubles team was the closest of the three by the Eagles in their match against IU Southeast's Lauren Becher and Abby Enteman (8-6). IU Southeast's teams of Brooklyn Becher/ Britta Oliver and Emma LaDuke/Kelsey Wisman won the other matches.
IU Southeast will advance to a playoff with the winner of the Mid South Conference tournament in the spring to determine an automatci bid to the NAIA Tennis National Championships.
