Race to be held Saturday Morning in Berea.

Berea, KY- The Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (KIAC) will host its Cross Country Championships on Saturday November 8th. The meet will bring together some of the top NAIA college cross country programs in the south to compete at Berea College.

The men's race should have constant KIAC power Berea College (KY) and up and coming Brescia University (KY) expected to compete for the team championship on Saturday. Berea is coming off its best performance of the season with a strong 9th place finish at the Southeastern Classic contested in Rome, GA just two weeks ago and Brescia has the potential to run with anyone in the league.

Individually, Berea College's harrier Antonio Marchi will run as the favorite for the championship title. Marchi has had a very strong season and is looking to lead his team to victory on Saturday. St. Louis College of Pharmacy's Amr Abualnadi and Brescia's freshmen Chris Becker should provide a challenge for the championship.

The women's race stacks up as a two squad battle for the team title. St. Louis College of Pharmacy and Brescia University should clash for the top team honors. While the women's team from Asbury College (KY) has the potential to run with any team in the KIAC.

The individual race should showcase St. Louis College of Pharmacy's Amy Hall, who has been nursing a mid season injury, but her coach says she will be ready to defend her 2007 KIAC title and Brescia's freshmen Ashley Miller. Both Hall and Miller have raced well during the regular season and should be ready to compete for the KIAC individual championship.
