IU Southeast Men and Berea Women fall in opening round
MENS: College of the Ozarks 91, IU Southeast 82
IU Southeast held tight through the first 28 minutes of the game. IU Southeast was only down 60-59 to the host school before a 7-0 Ozarks run began the widening of the margin for the rest of the game. Jazzmarr Ferguson lead the Grenadiers with 18 points and six assists. Dejon Gary grabbed the most boards with seven.
WOMENS: Morningside 104, Berea 80
Berea held the lead in the early minutes before the top seed pulled away for good. Morningside is one of the four #1 seeds in the tournament. Ashley Howard put down 25 of the points off 10 made shots for the Mountaineers. Candy Walls had 18 points with eight rebounds.
