Grenadiers To Face College of the Ozarks (Mo.)
NEW ALBANY, Ind. (March 5, 2008) The Indiana University Southeast men's basketball team will play tournament host College of the Ozarks (Mo.) in the first round of the NAIA National Tournament in Point Lookout, Mo. at 8 p.m. on Wednesday, March 12. Under first year Head Coach Wiley Brown, the Grenadiers (24-8, 9-0 KIAC) have won 16 of their last 17 games dating back to Dec. 23. The team's only loss during that period came to No.1-ranked Georgetown College 79-74 on Jan. 15.
KIAC Men's Basketball Player of the Year Craig Bryant (New Albany, Ind. / NAHS) is leading the Grenadiers this season by averaging 12.8 points a game and four rebounds. KIAC All-Conference selection Carlos Mitchell (Louisville, Ky. / Fern Creek HS) is also playing strong for the Grenadiers this season by averaging 12.1 points a game with four rebounds.

This is the Grenadier's fifth appearance in the NAIA DII National Championship. The team last competed in the championship during the 2005-06 season under the direction of former Head Coach Walt Corbean. The 2005-06 squad lost in the first round of the tournament to MidAmerica Nazarene (Kan.), an eventual final four team, 72-62.
The 32-team field is comprised of 23 automatic qualifiers from NAIA affiliated conferences, plus the host and eight at-large selections, which are determined using the final regular-season rating released Feb. 27. The College of the Ozarks (Mo.) will serve as tournament host for the ninth straight year. The first 30 games of the Championships will be video-streamed live on the Internet (WatchNAIA.com), while the National Championship Game on March 18 will air live nationwide on College Sports Television (CSTV).
