Tennis Tournaments to Begin
Tournament to be hosted by IU Southeast Friday and Saturday
The 2008 KIAC Men's and Women's Tennis begin on Friday, currently scheduled for New Albany, Indiana at IU Southeast and Sam Peden Community Park. The rain site is Fern Valley Tennis Club across the river in Louisville, Kentucky. The format for both tournaments is the same as last year.
The women's tournament is a flighted tournament featuring Asbury, Berea, Brescia, IU Southeast, and Midway. Play will begin at 9 a.m. Each will get a point for a win in the main draw and a half point in the consolation draw.
The men's tournament is played as a dual match tournament beginning at 3 p.m. on Friday in the semifinals. IU Southeast is the top seed and will face fourth seeded Brescia. Second seeded Asbury will face off against third seeded Berea. The winners will meet for the men's title on Saturday.
