Three ALC Players Named to Players to Watch List
All named to the players to watch list for 2009 season by Collegiate Baseball Magazine.
Alice Lloyd College baseball players Adam Adkins (JR., OF, Huntington, WV), Lamar Williams (SR., OF, Hazard, KY), and Trevor Corns (FR., RHP, Man, WV) have been tabbed to the NAIA players to watch list.
Adkins helped lead the Eagle offense last year hitting .366 while adding 10 stolen bases en route to being named second team All-KIAC. Lamar Williams, also an outfielder, has now made the list two consecutive years. Williams hit .309 last season, including four triples and added 12 stolen bases. Corns, a graduate of Mann High School in West Virginia is the first freshman in Alice Lloyd's history to achieve the honor and only the second pitcher in the schools history.
The Eagles will open up the 2009 season on February 28th at Kentucky Sate University in Frankfort, KY.
