Asbury Signs Adam Delph

WILMORE, KY - Adam Delph, a 6' 1" guard from Louisville, Kentucky, signed with Asbury College to play for the Eagles in the '09-'10 basketball season.

Adam spent last year as a walk-on for the University of Kentucky but did not play in any games, he will have four years of eligibility at Asbury.

The Louisville native played for Pleasure Ridge Park High School and averaged 28 points per game as a senior and was named 6th Region Player of the Year.

Delph is one of 12 new players joining Coach Shouse on his second year at the helm of the Eagles. Fellow newcomers include Jamal Morris (Nashville, Tenn.), Jordan Bortnem (London, Ky.), Josh Edwards (Louisville, Ky.), Nick Ziemann (Wilmore, Ky.), Nate Johnson (Louisville, Ky.), Michael Lee (Nicholasville, Ky.), Tyler Woods (Lancaster, Ky.), Adam Satterfield (Owensboro, Ky.), Elliot Cannon (Liberty, Ky.), Justin Jones (Hazard, Ky.), Josiah Karsner (Frankfort, Ky.), and Will Walden (Louisville, Ky.).

The Eagles start the 2009-10 season by hosting the Zweifel Classic on November 6 and 7. Asbury College placed 5th at the National Christian College Athletics Association (NCCAA) National Tournament last season, had a 21-13 record overall, and finished the year 5-6 in the Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (KIAC). Asbury also competes in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA).
