Carlie Rider, Indiana University East - Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week

Indiana University East sophomore runner Carlie Rider finished 4^th out of 62 runners at the KIAC Championship despite missing a full week of practice leading up to the meet due to illness. She completed the 5K race with a time of 21:31. The fourth place finish qualifies Rider for the NAIA National Championship. The 55th Annual Men's and 31st Annual Women's event will take place at the Fort Vancouver National Historic Site in Vancouver, Wash., on Nov. 20. The women's 5K run is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. PST, followed by the men's 8K at 11:45 a.m.
