Ashmere Woods, Indiana University-Southeast -- Women's Basketball Player of the Week

5-7 Sophomore - Louisville, KY

Indiana University Southeast guard Ashmere Woods was named the KIAC women's basketball player of the week by KIAC officials on December 13th. In two games last week, Woods averaged 21.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2.5 steals. In a 74-56 victory over conference opponent Cincinnati Christian, she scored 16 points going 8-12 from the field with 5 rebounds. IU Southeast also defeated NAIA Division I Union College 89-74. The 5-7 sophomore scored 27 points on 9-13 shooting and grabbed 6 rebounds. IU Southeast is set to return to action on December 14th at home against Lindsey Wilson.
