Brittany Bird, Brescia University -- Women's Basketball Player of the Week

5-3 Senior - Millwood, KY

Brescia University guard Brittany Bird was named the KIAC women's basketball player of the week by KIAC officials on Monday, December 20^th. This is Bird's third player of the week award on the season. In two games last week, Bird averaged 33 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 3 assists. In a 70-62 loss to Indiana Wesleyan University, the senior guard scored 31points with 11 field goals and connected on all seven free throw attempts. She also led her team in an 85-74 loss to Defiance scoring 35 points to go along with 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Bird currently leads the KIAC in scoring with an average of 22 points per game. Brescia is set to return to action on December 30^th when they host St. Catherine.
