KIAC Volleyball Players Named to All-America Team
Berea, KY. (December 7th, 2010) - The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced the 2010 Tachikara-NAIA Volleyball All-America Teams, as selected by the NAIA Volleyball All-America Selection Committee.
Indiana University East sophomore and KIAC player of the year Lauren Crump was named to the NAIA All-America Second Team. IU East finished the regular season with an overall record of 36-3 and a conference record of 7-1. They finished the regular season in second place behind Asbury and won the KIAC tournament. Crump ranked 1st in NAIA Division I in assists per game with 12.87 and 2nd in total assists with 1,609.
IU East sophomore Brianna Strete and Cincinnati Christian sophomore Cara Barkes were also named NAIA All-America Honorable Mention. Strete ranked 5th in Division I Hitting Percentage (0.418) and 24th in total kills (518). Barkes ranked 29th in service aces per game (0.530).
