IU Southeast and Brescia also matching up for the men's final.

FRANKFORT, Ky. (February 26, 2010) - Top seed Indiana University Southeast and second seed Brescia University will play for the 2010 Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (KIAC) men's basketball tournament title after wins on Friday at the Frankfort Convention Center (FCC). Both winners will play in Saturday afternoon's 4:00 final at FCC.

Semifinal #1 (6:00 p.m.) No.1 Indiana University Southeast vs. No. 5 Asbury College

No. 1 Indiana University Southeast defeated No. 5 Asbury College Friday 106-85. IU Southeast pulled away early and survived several attempts to narrow the game to under 10. IU Southeast (24-4) scored 26 off the fast break while Asbury (15-17) had 11 in an up tempo contest. Asbury was even on rebounds with the top seeds at 32 a piece.

IU Southeast had two players over 20 points. Rick Bodiford (Louisville, Ky.) scored 22 points and grabbed eight rebounds. Jazzmarr Ferguson (Louisville, Ky.) made all four free throw attempts during his 21 point night. Craig Bryant (New Albany, Ind.) shot 6 for 9 from the field to add 19 points for the team.

Asbury's free throw shooting would keep them in the game as they went 31 for 37. Phillip Morrison (Louisville, Ky.) scored 32 points including 13 from the free throw stripe. Adam Delph (Louisville, Ky.) went 10 for 10 at the line as he scored 16. Don Witt (Hamilton, Ohio) and Brian Johnson (Wilmore, Ky.) also added 10 points a piece.

Semifinal #2 (8:00 p.m.) No. 2 Brescia University vs. No. 6 Cincinnati Christian University

No. 2 Brescia University defeated No.6 Cincinnati Christian University Friday 83-80. Both teams played even most of the way through despite the sixth seeded Cincinnati Christian University (16-16) first half lead. Two late free throws by Brescia (23-9) to take the three point lead for good as a last second shot by CCU hit the upper half of the scoreboard.

Brescia holds off the upset bid with two double double efforts. Anthony Ingram's (Indianapolis, Ind.) led in points and boards with 22 and 16 respectively. Andrew Howard (Owensboro, Ky.) had 20 points with his 10 rebounds. Doug Denton (Owensboro, Ky) also added 15 points.

Cincinnati Christian narrowly edged their opponents in shooting percentage with 45 percent compared to 43. Chris Scott (Lexington, Ky.) had 19 points, including eight for eight from the field, to lead CCU. Dartanian Thomas (Cincinnati, Ohio) had 17 points and six rebounds. Tied for the team lead in rebounds, Kurt Duke (Cincinnati, Ohio) also had six boards, including four on the defensive end.
