River States Conference

We are pleased to announce that Sherianne Shuey, from Lancaster, Kentucky has been selected to work the National NAIA Women's Tournament in March 2010. Sherianne has many years experience as a High School and Collegiate Basketball Officials, and we feel privilege to have her on the KIAC Women's staff. The National Tournament is a four year commitment and Sherianne will being going in the first year in March.

Sherianne joins Marla Gearhart from the KIAC Women's staff who has worked the past two years at the National Tournament. Marla was selected both years to work the Championship game in that Tournament. The KIAC Men's staff is likewise well represented at the National Tournament. From the Conference Men's staff we have working the National Tournament, John Drake, Gary Durbin and Kevin Clary. Last year Gary Durbin was selected to work the Men's Championship game.

"We are proud of all the officials on the KIAC staff," said Ron Dixon assignor of officials. "Sherianne is just a continuance of what this officiating staff has done over the last four years. Everyone associated with the Conference should be proud of these accomplishments, and commitment of all officials on a night to night basis for our student athletes. I think it takes a special person to be an official, and we are excited to have found 115 special people to officiate the games out students athletes play," said Dixon.
