IU Southeast Women Fall in First Round SIOUX CITY, Iowa - (Box Score) Jamestown (N.D.) opened the second day of play at the 19th Annual State Farm-NAIA Division II Women's Basketball National Championship at the Tyson Events Center/Gateway Arena with a 65-58 win over Indiana-Southeast on Thursday.

SIOUX CITY, Iowa - (Box Score) Jamestown (N.D.) opened the second day of play at the 19th Annual State Farm-NAIA Division II Women's Basketball National Championship at the Tyson Events Center/Gateway Arena with a 65-58 win over Indiana-Southeast on Thursday.

The win was the first for the Jimmies three trips to the national championship and advance to Friday's second round with a 10:15 a.m. meeting against Iowa Wesleyan (27-6). Jamestown's overall record stands at 26-6, while Indiana-Southeast bows out at 23-9.

Jamestown held a 33-25 halftime lead, despite giving the ball away 13 times, but shot 46.4 percent from the floor and got eight points from Cori Doubek. She would add six more points in the second half to finish the game with 14 for the Jimmies. Indiana-Southeast was unable to overcome a cold shooting performance, connecting on only 29.5 percent of its shots for the contest. The Jimmies dominated down low both offensively and defensively, snagging 47 rebounds to the Grenadiers' 36, scored 32 points in the paint and logged 15 second-chance points.

Doubek was joined in double-figure scoring by Giuli Varriano with a team-high 16 points for the Jimmies. Katie O'Neill's work down low resulted in a game-high 11 rebounds.

Ashmere Woods came into the game averaging just 8.8 ppg, but the freshman turned her game up on the national stage by matching a season-high 18 points. Her 18-point showing was her third in the last four contests for Indiana-Southeast. Alden Krausse notched 10 points and had eight boards.
