Andrews Named Men's Soccer Head Coach

Wilmore, Ky. - The Asbury University Athletic Department is proud to announce Ben Andrews as the new head coach of the men's soccer program. Andrews has been part of the program the last eight years serving as both assistant coach and player.

"We are excited to name Coach Andrews as the 13th head coach of our men's soccer program," said Gary Kempf. "After competing and assisting here, Ben knows Asbury Soccer inside and out and is ready to move our program in a positive direction."

Originally from Deltona, Fla. Andrews was a four-year letterman and three-year captain for the Eagles. Andrews was named NCCAA All-American Honorable Mention during his senior season and was also named NCCAA All-Region and All-KIAC throughout his career. After graduating in 2006, Andrews has spent the last four years on staff as an assistant coach.

"I feel honored to take the reins of this program," said Andrews. "I am very excited to be chosen as the head coach and look forward to the challenges and demands of this position."

During Andrews' tenure as assistant coach he has helped lead the team to a KIAC Tournament Championship twice, an NAIA Regional appearance, an NCCAA Regional Championship and a NCCAA National Tournament appearance.
