IU Southeast Men's Basketball Secure 5th Seed
Men's team has Johnson and Wales in first round of NAIA Division II Men's Basketball National Championship.
POINT LOOKOUT, Mo. - The Indiana University Southeast men's basketball team will play Johnson & Wales University (Co.) in the first round of the 19th Annual NAIA Division II Men's Basketball National Championship in Point Lookout, Mo. at 10:15 a.m. (CT) on Thursday, March 11.
In his third season, KIAC Coach of the Year Wiley Brown, has led the Grenadiers (25-4, 11-1 KIAC) to a No. 5-ranking in the final NAIA Division II Men's Basketball Coaches' Poll. This year's men's basketball team in the highest ranked athletic team in IU Southeast school history.
With their strong play and tough defensive pressure, IU Southeast has earned the No. 5 seed in this year's tournament. This is also the highest seeding ever achieved by an IU Southeast athletic team in a national tournament.
KIAC All-Conference junior
Jazzmarr Ferguson (Louisville, Ky. - Moore H.S.) is leading the Grenadiers this season averaging 15.3 points and 3.7 assists a game. KIAC All-Conference senior
Carlos Mitchell (Louisville, Ky. - Fern Creek H.S.) is averaging 13.7 points a game with four rebounds for the Grenadiers. KIAC All-Conference selection and former KIAC Player of the Year (2007-08)
Craig Bryant (New Albany, Ind. - New Albany H.S.) is also playing strong for the Grenadiers this season averaging nine points and three rebounds a game.

http://www.jwu.edu/athleticsl3.aspx?id=29314 This year will mark the seventh appearance in the NAIA DII National Championship for the IU Southeast men's basketball program. Last year the team advanced to the Sweet Sixteen round of the tournament with a 76-59 victory over Briar Cliff University. The win over Briar Cliff was the first win in IU Southeast basketball history at the NAIA National Tournament. The Grenadiers fell to Bethel College 88-68 in the Sweet Sixteen round of the tournament. The IU Southeast men are now 1-6 overall in national tournament games.
The 32-team field is comprised of 20 automatic qualifiers from NAIA affiliated conferences and association of independents, plus the host and 11 at-large selections, which are determined using the final Top 25 rating released on Feb. 22.
Thirty-one games will be played out in Point Lookout. The first 30 games will be video-streamed by NeuLion, the parent company of JumpTV.
