Valerie Kamuf wins KIAC Female Athlete of the Year
Kamuf was the KIAC Defensive Player of the Year in Soccer
A senior defender for the Brescia University Women's Soccer team, Valerie finished the 2009 as the most decorated player in the program's history. In 2009, Valerie was named to the KIAC All Conference Team for the 4th time, named KIAC Defensive Player of the Year, and was named to the NAIA All American Team. As captain for Brescia, she led her team to the KIAC tournament final after scoring the game winning goal in the semi finals against Cincinnati Christian in double-overtime. She leaves the Brescia program starting every game of her college career, scoring 6 goals and 7 assists while playing defense, and becoming the first All American for Brescia Women's Soccer. Valerie is scheduled to graduate with a social work degree from Brescia University in December 2010.
