Brescia Hires New Athletic Director
Owensboro, KY - Brescia University announces the hiring of Patrick Mrozowski as the new Director of Athletics. Pat comes to Brescia with more than 30 years higher education experience in athletics, admissions and financial aid. He most recently hails from Indiana University Southeast, where he was Athletic Director.
As Director of Athletics, Pat's position is responsible for the coordination, administration and supervision of all intercollegiate, intramural and club-level sports programs. He is also responsible for the hiring and training of coaches, oversight of budget, recruitment, fundraising, and facilities management, among other duties.
"I am excited for the opportunity to work for Brescia University. I believe in and support the mission. It is an honor to represent such a great University," said Pat.
Pat is a past president of the Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference and is currently the treasurer. He has been voted the Athletic Director of the Year for the conference five of the last six years. He was also named National Association for Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) Region XII Athletic Director of the Year. He served on the NAIA's National Administrative Council.
Brescia University Vice President and Dean of Student Development, James Fitzpatrick, Ed.D., commented, "We are very fortunate to have Pat join our team as Director of Athletics. Pat has had a very successful career in intercollegiate athletics and it was the combination of experience, success and support of our coaching staff that made him the clear choice to lead our athletic department."
Pat received a B.A. and M.A. from Michigan State University and an Ed.S. from Kent State University.
