Leading Asbury to their first victory of the season was Kara Selle. Asbury defeated Mountain State 7 - 2 thanks to the strong defensive play of Selle. The central defender controlled the back line while leading the rest of the Asbury defense. Asbury will be in action again on September 21st against Lincoln Memorial University.
Jenny Butler, Midway College - Offensive Player of the Week
5-6 Sr. - Versailles, KY
In a thrilling come from behind victory, Midway College defeated Kentucky Christian 3 - 2 in extra time. Jenny Butler scored two goals, one with 8 minutes in regulation that tied the game. She followed that with an assist in extra time to give Midway the victory. Butler's stellar play earns her the award for Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week.
