Brittany Bird, Brescia University -- Women's Basketball Player of the Week

5-3 Senior - Millwood, KY

Brescia University guard Brittany Bird was named the KIAC women's basketball player of the week by KIAC officials on January 10^th. This is her fourth conference player of the week award on the season. In two games last week, Bird averaged 26 points, 5 rebounds, 7.5 assists, and 5 steals. In a 90-79 loss to Emory University, Bird scored 24 points and handed out 7 assists. The senior guard led Brescia with 28 points in an 84-75 win against conference opponent Alice Lloyd College. She currently ranks 2^nd in points per game in NAIA Division II (23) and is second in assists per game (6.6). Brescia University is set to return to action on January 13^th when they travel to IU Southeast.
