Phillip Morrison, Asbury University -- Men's Basketball Player of the Week

5-11 Senior - Louisville, KY

Asbury University guard Phillip Morrison was named the KIAC men's basketball player of the week by KIAC officials on Monday, January 24^th. This is his second conference player of the week award on the season. In two games last week, Morrison averaged 31.5 points per game while guiding Asbury to wins over two conference opponents. Morrison had 35 points and 2 assists in an 88-60 win over Berea College. He also scored 28 points in a win over Brescia University. For the week, he connected on 64.9 percent of his shots from the field (24-of-37) and 63.6 percent of his 3-point attempts (7-of-11). Morrison currently ranks 8^th nationally in points per game (23) and 11^th nationally in 3-point field goal percentage (45.6). Asbury University is set to return to action on January 27^th when they host Alice Lloyd College.
