Ashmere Woods, Indiana University-Southeast -- Women's Basketball Player of the Week

5-7 Sophomore - Louisville, KY

Indiana University Southeast guard Ashmere Woods was named the KIAC women's basketball player of the week by KIAC officials on January 3^rd. This is her second KIAC player of the week award on the season. In two games last week, Woods averaged 18.5 points, 5 rebounds, and 3.5 steals. In a 75-57 win against Tennessee Wesleyan College, she tallied 21 points on 7 of 15 shooting while handing out 5 assists. Against NAIA Division I Union College, she scored 16 points and pulled down 8 rebounds. IU Southeast won the game 72-63. Woods currently leads her team in scoring with an average of 18.83 points per game which is good for 19^th in NAIA Division II. IU Southeast is set to return to action on January 5^th when they host Alice Lloyd College.
