Indiana University East junior Courtney Ecker was named the KIAC women's tennis player of the week by KIAC officials on Monday, October 17th. IU East defeated Brescia University 6-3 and lost to Oakland City University 7-2. Ecker was undefeated in two #1 singles matches and two #1 doubles matches last week. She won her singles match against Brescia 6-4, 3-6, 10-6 and won her doubles match 8-6. Against Oakland City, she won her singles match 6-1, 6-1 and her doubles match 8-5. The junior has won five consecutive singles matches and four consecutive doubles matches. The Red Wolves will return to action on October 19th when they travel to IU Southeast.
