Rebecca Batey, Asbury University - Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week

5-7 Junior - Maysville, KY

Asbury University junior Rebecca Batey was named the KIAC women's soccer offensive player of the week by KIAC officials on Monday, October 3^rd. This is her second player of the week award on the season. Asbury finished the week with a 2-0 record after defeating Berea College 5-0 and Pikeville University 2-0. Batey scored two goals in both contests last week. She scored her 40^th career goal against Pikeville becoming only the second player in Asbury history to reach the 40 goal mark. The junior forward leads the KIAC in goals scored (7). The Eagles currently have a 5-5 overall record and are 1-0 in conference play. They will return to action on October 6^th when they host Freed-Hardeman University.
