Indiana University East junior Vanessa Legg was named the KIAC women's outdoor track and field athlete of the week by KIAC officials on Monday, March 21st. Legg finished first out of nine competitors in the shot put with a mark of 33-8. This was her first outdoor shot put competition. She also finished third in the high jump with a mark of 4-9. In two track events, the junior finished fourth in the 100 meter dash with a time of 14.22 and eleventh in the 200 meter dash with a time of 29.46. IU East track and field will return to action on March 25th at the College of Mount St. Joseph Invitational.
