Men's and Women's Soccer Preseason Polls Released
Brescia men and CCU women selected as preseason favorites.
Cincinnati Christian University Women's Soccer Preseason Favorite
The KIAC coaches have unanimously selected Cincinnati Christian University as the preseason favorite in women's soccer. Cincinnati Christian finished the regular season last year in second place and won the conference tournament by defeating Asbury 3-2 in the championship. CCU is led by Coach Keith Combs, last season's KIAC women's soccer coach of the year. Cincinnati Christian received a total of 25 points, including all five first place votes. Last year's regular season champion, Asbury, was selected in the second position with a total of 19 points. Completing the poll are Midway in third place (15 points), Mountain State in fourth place (11 points), and Berea in fifth place (5 points). The 2011 women's soccer season will begin in late August.

Brescia University Men's Soccer Preseason Favorite
The KIAC coaches have selected Brescia University as the preseason favorite in men's soccer for the 2011 season. Brescia finished the regular season in fourth place last season, but stormed through the tournament while defeating the top two seeds in route to the tournament championship. Brescia received a total of 24 points, including four first place votes. Last season's tournament top seed, Asbury, received 20 points, including the other first place vote. Cincinnati Christian was selected third by the coaches with 16 points. Mountain State and Berea complete the poll with 10 points and 5 points respectively. The 2011 men's soccer season will begin in late August.
