Women's Tennis Preseason Poll Released
Coaches select IU Southeast as the preseason favorite.
Indiana University Southeast Preseason Favorite
The KIAC coaches have selected Indiana University Southeast as the preseason favorite in women's tennis for the 2011 season. IU Southeast won the regular season and conference tournament championships last season. They return four all-conference players this season. They collected 62 points in the poll including seven first place votes. Last season's regular season and tournament runner-up Asbury University sits in the second position with 50 points. Third place belongs to Midway College (47 points) and fourth place goes to Brescia (42 points). Alice Lloyd sits in a tie with IU East for the fifth spot with 26 points and Alice Lloyd collected the only other first place vote. The final two positions belong to Berea (23 points) and St. Louis College of Pharmacy (12 points). The 2011 women's tennis season will begin in late August.
