Cara Barkes, Cincinnati Christian University - Volleyball Player of the Week

5-10 Junior - Sullivan, IN

Cincinnati Christian University junior Cara Barkes was named the KIAC volleyball player of the week by KIAC officials on Monday, September 19^th. The CCU Eagles were 4-0 on the week including their first ever victory over conference opponent Indiana University Southeast. Against IU Southeast, Barkes had a hitting percentage of .400 to go along with 16 kills, 26 digs, and 38 total attacks. CCU won the match in 5 sets - 21-25, 25-18, 25-21, 20-25, 16-14. They also picked up a pair of wins against Central State University and defeated Earlham College. CCU is now 7-3 on the season and 3-0 in conference play. They will return to action on September 20^th when they travel to Indiana University East.
