Alejandra Matiz, Brescia University - Women's Tennis Player of the Week

5-2 Freshman - Bogota, Columbia

Brescia University freshman Alejandra Matiz was named the KIAC women's tennis player of the week by KIAC officials on Monday, September 26^th. The Brescia freshman improved to 4-1 in conference matches at #1 singles play. Competing against St. Louis College of Pharmacy on September 24^th, Matiz won her singles match 6-1, 6-0 and her doubles match 8-3. On September 25^th, she also won her singles match against IU East by a score of 3-6, 6-4, 6-3 and won her doubles match 8-2. She also earned a singles win against IU Southeast on September 25^th by a score of 4-6, 6-2, 1-0. Brescia will return to action on September 29^th at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Fall Regionals.
