Ariel Nickell, Alice Lloyd College-- Women's Basketball Player of the Week

5-9 Sophomore - Tazwell, TN

Alice Lloyd College sophomore Ariel Nickell was named the KIAC women's basketball player of the week by KIAC officials on Monday, January 30^th. This is her second conference player of the week award of the season.

Alice Lloyd won both contests last week. Nickell recorded a double-double in an 83-74 win over Asbury College. She finished with 18 points, 16 rebounds, and 3 assists. The sophomore forward also had 28 points and 7 rebounds in a 72-70 win at Brescia University. For the week, Nickell averaged 23 points and 11.5 rebounds. She made 42.9 percent from the field (15-of-35) including 45.5 percent from behind the arc (5-of-11). Her average of 20.78 points per game currently ranks fifth in NAIA Division II.

The Eagles are currently 7-17 overall and 4-2 in conference play. They will return to action on January 31^st when they host Berea College for a conference game.
