Asbury University senior Jessica Batey was named the KIAC women's soccer offensive and defensive player of the week by KIAC officials on Monday, October 15th. Batey scored three goals last week as Asbury finished the week 1-1-1. She scored a pair of goals in a 4-3 loss to Midway and also scored a goal in a 3-3 tie with Oakland City University. In addition, the Asbury senior also played 147 minutes in goal for the Eagles. She played the entire match in goal in the Asbury 2-1 win over Cincinnati Christian University. The Eagles are currently 2-8-1 overall and 2-1 in conference play. They will return to action on October 19th when they travel to Point Park University.
