Indiana University East senior Kristi Henderson was named the KIAC women's tennis player of the week by KIAC officials on Monday, October 15th. IU east finished the week 2-1 after earning wins against Midway College and St. Louis College of Pharmacy. Henderson set a new IU East record with eight consecutive singles match victories. She won her #5 singles match against Midway College 3-6, 7-5, 6-2. She also won her #5 singles match against St. Louis College of Pharmacy 6-1, 6-3 and her #2 doubles match with teammate Emily Underwood 8-4. IU East is currently 4-9 overall and 4-2 in conference play. They will return to action on October 20th when they host IU Southeast.
