Berea College freshman Christine Crawford was named the KIAC women's tennis player of the week by KIAC officials on Monday, October 1st. Berea finished the week 2-2 after earning wins against Midway College (5-4) and Shawnee State (6-3). Crawford won all four #1 singles matches and all four #1 doubles matches last week. She picked up singles wins against Midway (6-2, 6-2), Shawnee State (6-0, 6-0), Thomas More College (6-0, 6-2) and St. Louis College of Pharmacy (6-1, 6-1). She is currently undefeated in singles play with an overall record of 7-0. The Mountaineers are 3-4 overall and 2-3 in conference play. They will return to action on October 6th when they travel to Oakland City University.
