Midway College junior Asiyat Alieva was named the KIAC women's tennis player of the week by KIAC officials on Monday, October 8th. Midway finished the week with a 2-0 record after defeating Shawnee State (6-3) and Carlow University (5-4). Alieva won her #1 singles match against Shawnee State 6-1, 6-2 and her #1 doubles match 8-6. She finished the week with a #1 singles match victory over Carlow 6-2, 6-1 and a #1 doubles win 8-5. Midway is currently 3-3-1 overall and 2-3 in conference play. They will return to action on October 10th when they host Indiana University East.
