Ja'Nia McPhatter, Point Park University -- Women's Basketball Player of the Week

5-9 Sophomore – New Castle, PA

Point Park University sophomore Ja'Nia McPhatter was named the KIAC women's basketball player of the week by KIAC officials on Monday, December 31^st.

McPhatter averaged 19.5 points, 11 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 2.5 steals last week as the Pioneers finished the week 2-0. She connected on 58.3 percent (14-of-24) from the field and 83.3 percent (10-of-12) from the free throw line. She started the week with 18 points, 14 rebounds and 3 steals in a 63-56 win against Indiana University Southeast. The sophomore forward finished the week with 21 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists in an 86-54 win against Brescia University. McPhatter ranks 10^th in NAIA Division II rebounds per game (9.923). She leads the pioneers with 15.4 points per game.

Point Park University is currently 12-2 overall and 6-1 in conference play. They will return to action on January 4^th when they travel to Alice Lloyd College.
