Point Park University senior Emily Schartner was named the KIAC women's basketball player of the week by KIAC officials on Monday, December 3rd.
Schartner averaged 21.5 points and 6 rebounds last week as the Pioneers finished the week 2-0. She recorded a double-double with 25 points and 12 rebounds in a 74-69 win against Indiana University Southeast. The senior guard was also 5-of-10 from behind the 3-point line. She finished the week with 18 points in a 77-72 win against Brescia University.
Point Park University is currently 6-2 overall and 2-1 in conference play. They will return to action on December 7th when they host Mount Vernon Nazarene College.
