Marcus Isaac, Indiana University East -- Men's Basketball Player of the Week

Indiana University East junior Marcus Isaac was named the KIAC men's basketball player of the week by KIAC officials on Monday, February 13th. This is his third conference player of the week award of the season.

In IU East's only game last week, Isaac led the Red Wolves in scoring as they defeated Berea College on the road 81-72. Isaac ended the game with 19 points, 2 rebounds, 5 assists, and 4 steals. He shot 46.2 percent (6-of-13) from the field and 36.4 (4-of-11) from behind the 3-point line. IU East earned their sixth straight win and tied the school record for wins in a season. The junior guard currently ranks 22nd in NAIA Division II points per game (19.32). He is also ranks 3rd in free throw percentage (89.2) and 5th in 3-point field goal percentage (47.2).

The Red Wolves are 23-5 overall and lead the KIAC with a 10-1 conference record. They were ranked 11th in the February 6th NAIA Division II poll and will return to action on February 16th when they host IU Southeast.
