Wes Cox, Indiana University Southeast -- Men's Basketball Player of the Week
5-9 Sophomore - Louisville, KY

Indiana University Southeast sophomore Wes Cox was named the KIAC men's basketball player of the week by KIAC officials on Monday, February 20th. This is his second conference player of the week award of the season.

Cox led IU Southeast to a 3-0 record last week and helped the Grenadiers clinch the KIAC regular season title with a win at IU East. He averaged 17.3 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 6 assists in IU Southeast's three wins last week. The sophomore guard scored 17 points and had 7 assists on Tuesday in a 70-57 win against Berea College. He then led IU Southeast with 24 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 assists in their 94-73 win over IU East. He also made 93.3 percent (14-of-15) from the free throw line. Cox ended the week with 11 points, 7 rebounds, and 8 assists against Asbury on Saturday. For the week, he shot 53.6 percent (15-of-28) from the field and 95 percent (19-of-20) from the foul line.

The Grenadiers are 22-7 overall and finished the regular season in first with a 12-1 conference record. They will return to action during the opening round of the KIAC Tournament on February 25th.
