Indiana University East junior Marcus Isaac was named the KIAC men's basketball player of the week by KIAC officials on Monday, February 6th. This is his second conference player of the week award of the season.
Isaac averaged 24.5 points, 6 rebounds, and 4.5 steals per game last week as the Red Wolves won a pair of conference games. On Thursday, he scored a career-high 34 points and added 6 rebounds and 5 steals in an 87-75 win over Brescia University. Isaac ended his week with 15 points and 6 rebounds in an 83-72 win over Alice Lloyd on Saturday. For the week, the junior guard shot 46.9 percent (15-of-32) from the field and 50 percent (9-of-18) from behind the 3-point line. Isaac ranks fifth in NAIA Division II 3-point field goal percentage (47.9) and is 23rd in points per game (19.33).
The Red Wolves are 22-5 overall and 9-1 in conference play. They were ranked 12th in the January 30th NAIA Division II poll and will return to action on February 10th when they travel to Berea College.
